St Aldate's从[Carfax (卡尔法克斯塔)](/places/landmarks/carfax-tower/)（公认的牛津市中心）向南延伸，直至横跨泰晤士河（或称Isis河）的Folly Bridge，并继续向南穿过Grandpont，在那里它变成了Abingdon Road (A4144)，直接出城通往Kennington和Abingdon。这条街以Saint Aldate命名，以前被称为Fish Street。
